Website Re-Write

Heya! Long time no see! ... I suppose I have some explaining to do.

The Past Summer

I got caught up in an internship scam. Generative AI was abound, but I couldn't catch it in time before I could drop and not get any payments pushed against me, since this was through my college as though it was a class. I ran a donation drive to try and make it through, but managed to pull through via other means and I closed it immediately. Didn't feel right to continue it by that point, but for those who did donate, I decided to work on a final part to it as consolation. As of writing, that part is currently sketched, it'll be posted once it's done!

The scam put me in a bit of a struggle in my motivations and work ethic (seeing the effects of GenAI firsthand by a bunch of lying fools, and having to keep up with the increased workload expected from me deliberately not using the tools), and it left me absolutely drained. I was busy very, very often, and when I wasn't, I was trying my best to recover by being with friends and relaxing. I couldn't put nearly as much energy into my art, as much as I'd liked to at the time. What's done is done, and at least I can say I've learned what a scam looks like from the inside.

However! It did give me some time to re-evaluate some things, and do some things that I wanted to do before and, for various reasons, had too much trouble getting it done. This website's current incarnation is one of them, and the other one is... a port of "SoftFoxxo's Softie Stuffers" to Steam, with a bunch of bugfixes and some enhancements! I've been chipping away at this over time, but it's as ready as it'll ever be. I'll have more to say about it another time, but know that if you bought the Itch.io version, any enhancements that aren't specific to Steam (like Steam Leaderboards, as the big example) will be coming to the Itch.io release - I'll make a post there when it's done.

Recent Events

If you're under a rock and haven't seen the news, Payment Processors have been censoring adult content for a long while now, and they poked the tiger by going after Steam. If you'd like to help out with that, call 'em up using the information from yellat.money. Let them know how you feel, but be courteous. If you're on my site, you probably like adult content in some manner. But even if you don't, and even if you don't make adult content, this is how censorship works in the modern era. Not by way of government authority, but of a company with no one to answer to but themselves. So give 'em a call and waste their money by making their call centers more expensive. Hilariously, it's been making the two major credit card brands act particularly odd with their sponsorships, so it's working in some capacity. So have at it~!

New Website Features

• Updated Blog with Tags
• Re-done Gallery with Tags
• Re-done Comics page with On-Site Reading (WIP, still working on adding every Comic)
• Moved External links to the Footer below

... and the overall facelift you can see now! I'm incredibly happy with the new site, and I'll still be chipping away at it. The gallery likely won't ever be a complete gallery of my work (at least not while I'm on Neocities), but it'll have my favorites on here. That's what I wanted most, honestly.
